ketika kita sudah berbulat di satu jalan tertentu, tiba2, kita dihadapkan sama suatu halangan di jalan tersebut yang seakan2 memaksa kita untuk memilih jalan lain yang kita tahu, ga baik.

A lot of people only hear the "maybe in the future you're gonna come back" but miss the "only way to really know is to really let it go". All you girls writing about your lost loves with frowny faces, then this isn't your song yet. She's saying you need to let them go and be happy for if/when they return to you. You need to forget about them and live as if it's over, but maybe that prospect of them coming back will happen, but wishful thinking won't help you until it does.
